A Checkpoint is a health centre for gay and other men who have sex with men (MSM). The Checkpoints Vaud and Zürich also counsel transgender people and their partners.

Checkpoint is a walk-in centre for HIV tests and other STI’s, but also a place to talk about problems in your daily life as a gay or bisexual man.

Our team, which is made up of professional and voluntary workers, supports you and helps you to find your feet and for you to make your own way. We help you to better your quality of life. We listen to, inform, and support you on the following subjects :

  • Love and relationships
  • Sexuality
  • Coming out
  • Risks and addiction
  • HIV and STI prevention
  • Discrimination
  • Registered partnership
  • Lists of doctors and therapists, who are well-versed in the problems of men who have sex with men
  • Living with HIV
  • Gay life
  • STI tests

Everyone who works at Checkpoint is bound by professional confidentiality. The HIV test is carried out anonymously. The testing and treatment of all other sexually transmitted infections can be settled with the health insurance.
